Our Exclusive Investment Strategies

Investment Dept. offers variety of investment products, including separately managed account portfolios, with a range of investment objectives. This allow clients to select a portfolio that best suits their goals. Our bespoke investment strategies include:

  • The Equity Income strategy centers on selecting top-tier companies known for consistently distributing earnings to shareholders via dividends. Drawing from a pool of stocks meeting stringent criteria – including a decade-long history of dividend payments and/or increases, alongside market capitalizations surpassing $1 billion – the portfolio is meticulously crafted. With approximately 50 holdings carefully curated, Equity Income anticipates minimal to moderate turnover.

Equity Income is tailored for clients primarily pursuing capital appreciation, while still valuing dividend income as a supplementary goal, this strategy offers a balanced approach to investment.

  • Equity Income Plus is a dynamic investment approach that blends the reliability of dividend-based equity strategy with the versatility of covered call options on the S&P 500 Index.

Our strategy allocates around 75% of the portfolio to Equity Income, focusing on high-quality companies with a proven track record of dividend payouts and growth over the past decade. The remaining 25% is dedicated to an ETF position in the S&P 500 Index, complemented by a covered call strategy.

Equity Income Plus caters seeking total return with lowered risk and volatility than the broader equity market, along with capital appreciation.

  • The Large Cap Value strategy targets well-established corporations with market capitalizations exceeding $10 billion. With a portfolio typically consisting of 23-25 carefully selected holdings, this approach anticipates minimal to moderate turnover.

Tailored for clients prioritizing capital appreciation as their main goal, with dividend income serving as a secondary objective, Large Cap Value offers a strategic investment solution.

  • Fixed Income Taxable invests in fixed income ETFs with domestically oriented, investment-grade benchmarks. It is constructed to have characteristics similar to a traditional, laddered bond portfolio. The strategy complements these positions with traditional fixed income ETFs with more “static” maturity profiles, allowing for more precise exposures to maturities and sectors of the bond market. The Investment Manager continuously monitors the portfolio, rebalancing at least annually, but may elect to rebalance over shorter time frames at its discretion. The portfolio may direct larger allocations to certain ETFs to alter the amount of credit or interest rate risk in a portfolio.

Fixed Income Taxable is available as a standalone portfolio and may also be available as part of a Balanced Account, which allows investors to combine this fixed income strategy with one of the firm's equity strategies in one portfolio.

  • Fixed Income Tax-Exempt Invests in municipal bond Exchange Traded Funds (“ETFs”), diversified across maturities and a wide variety of municipalities. These ETFs produce income generally exempt from federal income taxes. Strives to deliver the income and lower volatility traditionally available from a diversified municipal bond portfolio.

Fixed Income Tax-Exempt is available as a standalone portfolio and may also be available as part of a Balanced account, which allows investors to combine this fixed income strategy with one of the firm's equity strategies in one portfolio.

  • Balanced Accounts offer a streamlined approach to blend equity and fixed income exposure within a single account, catering to long-term investors aiming for capital appreciation from equities while enjoying the stability and reduced volatility typically associated with bonds.

The equity portion is invested in one of our Value Equity strategies, complemented by a Fixed Income strategy (Taxable or Tax-Exempt), tailored to the investor's preference.

Investors can customize their equity-to-fixed income ratios in increments of 10%, ranging from 80/20 to 30/70, aligning with their specific investment goals. Our Balanced Account portfolio management is flexible, accommodating systematic deposits or withdrawals, and includes periodic rebalancing to maintain target allocations amidst market fluctuations.

What is a Separately Managed Account?

A separately managed account (SMA) provides investors with a portfolio of securities to invest in, just like an ETF or mutual fund. However, with an SMA, investors directly own all securities within their portfolio, offering greater flexibility and transparency in investment and management decisions, including real-time trade monitoring.
